About Deadrise Press

Deadrise Press is a small independent publisher in Poquoson, Virginia. The name comes from the deadrise, the wooden workboat Chesapeake watermen have used for generations. It’s built for one job and it does that job well. That’s the idea behind everything we make.

Most of what we publish is meant to be used, not shelved. Kitchen systems written by a working chef. Ledgers and case notes for dietitians, laid out around how clinical documentation actually flows. Logbooks for IT techs, contract administrators, project leads and golfers. Each one starts with a real workflow and the fields people kept drawing by hand.

The shop sells our printable and digital editions. You pay once, download right after checkout, and print as many copies as your team needs. Our paperbacks and coloring books are on Amazon, and lay-flat spiral-bound editions are on the way.

We publish under three imprints. J.S. Larkin covers professional logbooks and kitchen systems. Mindful Spaces Press makes bold, easy coloring books and logic puzzles for adults. Little Chef Press makes cookbooks that kids and grown-ups cook from together.
